- This contains the name of farmer, spouse's name, name of children, how many acres he farms, if he owns or rents the land and the year he moved to the county. Often this is the year the farmer was born.

Business Directory
- for each small town.

Whiteside County was formed in 1836 out of Jo Daviess and Henry Counties. It was named for General Samuel Whiteside, an Illinois officer in the War of 1812 and Black Hawk War. It is surrounded by Carroll County, Ogle County, Lee County, Bureau County, Henry County, Rock Island County, and Clinton County, Iowa. The county seat is Morrison and other towns are Albany, Coleta, Deer Grove, Erie, Fulton, Lyndon, Prophetstown, Rock Falls, Sterling, and Tampico.

The CD requires Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the file. When viewing on your screen the page size can be increased to make reading easier. This CD is searchable and has a series of bookmarks making navigation through the file easier. The CD is packaged in a protective sleeve.
