    Description

This is a Vintage 1950s Dr. Wilbur and Florence Casler Marquette MI Chinese Guest Book.
Dr. Wilbur and Florence Casler are part of Marquette's first family of Physicians. This Chinese hand-cut paper illustrations book was given to the couple in 1951 from Myrtle  A. Smith in Hong Kong.
It seems they had many local and international guests to their home; serving Chinese home cooked meals on occasion. Many celebrations and well wishes.
The book measures 10" x 6 3/4"; it contains 19 pages; 17 are almost completely full. Tissue covering over each page.
Good condition to very good condition; some marks and some a little bit of splitting at back of spine.
Please see all photos for details. Thanks for taking a look! This is a 4 map set of the township of New Hanover, Burlington Cty, NJ from 1876. Recently reproduced on fine natural color parchment they're 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame.
The pictures provided only show portions of the actual maps!
Please contact me with any questions!
Contained on the first map are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of the township which includes the towns of Cookstown, Jacobstown, Wrightstown, Pointsville, Browns Mills, New Egypt and Whitesbog.  This map also contains the area where Fort Dix and Mcguire Air Force Base are located.
Interesting to see who used to live there before the bases were built.
The other 3 maps contain inset maps of Cookstown, Wrightstown and Pointville.
Some of the surnames which are clearly printed are Brown, Letts, Nelson, Davis, Oliver, Harker, Ridgeway and so many more that it's impossible to list! The names shown are indeed very small yet can be read. Also indicated on the map are schools, named streets, railroads and rivers/streams.
It would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything! What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your ancestors!
Multiple purchases can be combined for one shipping charge! Please check out my other listings for many other fine old town maps!
