    Description

Long sold out worldwide, the Safari in White & Red was released in 2010 and was one in a series of special editions released through the years. It was a special model solely for the Japanese market to mark the 30th anniversary of the Safari. Two versions were available - a premium edition with a pen case and numbered (1000 pieces released) with "30 Year LAMY Safari xxxx/1000" on the barrel, and the other one is an ordinary version with a plain white shiny barrel, as seen here.
The LAMY Safari is a workhorse pen, known throughout the fountain pen community for its ruggedness, reliability, and no-nonsense functionality. The triangular grip makes it great for those starting out who have no idea how to hold a fountain pen, but it's used and loved by fountain pen lovers of all levels of experience.
The Safari comes with an interchangeable silver steel nib, which can be easily swapped out for another size. This fountain pen comes with a blue LAMY ink cartridge so you can get started writing right away. If you'd like to use bottled fountain pen ink, you can also purchase a LAMY Z28 converter.
    Note:
To ensure quality performance, LAMY tests their pens as a final step in manufacturing. If you happen to see any residual blue ink, rest assured that this is normal.
Pen case shown for photography purposes only, and is not included.

Features and informations about this pen:
You are bidding for a Lamy 80 fountain pen from the 1970ties. Josef Lamy founded the company " Orthos Füllhalterfabrik C.J. Lamy" in Heidelberg at the beginning of the 1930. Just after the second world war he bought the company Artus Füllhaltergesellschaft Kaufmann and Co. based in Heidelberg. The nib of the pen is a 14 K white goldnib and is in size OB. On the cap its engraved with Lamy 80. The pen has got a piston system. It was used and I have clened it as good as possible with a ultrasonic cleaner. Real an excellent collectors pen in working condition.
