This volume contains the records of six different notaries. For each, it has a brief biography of the notary, followed by a list, with descriptions, of the documents that he notarized, followed by an index of the names of the persons who are mentioned in those documents. The six notaries, and their years of notarial practice are:
Pierre Rousselot (1737 - 1756)
Barthelemy Verreau (1711 - 1718)
Francois Coron (1721 - 1732)
J.-H. Bouron (1750 - 1760)
Charles-D. Desmarest (1753 - 1754)
Philippe-P. Pilliamet (1755-1758)
The series "Inventaire des Greffes des Notaires du Regime Francais" comprises 32 volumes. The last two pages of this Volume have an alphabetical list of all the notaries covered in the series (at least through the issuance of this, Volume 23).
Volumes 1 through 27 were compiled by the Roys (Pierre-Georges and Antoine) between 1943 and 1976. Volumes 28 through 32 were prepared at the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivieres.
