    Burleigh Burton Mansfield
    (1889-1968) was born in Maine, and died in New Hampshire. He was the son of
    Ferdinand LeForest Mansfield
    (1845-1923) &
    Julia Frances "Fanny" Taylor
    (1865-1911}. He married
    Florence Althea Rand
    (1891-1966) in 1916, shortly after his graduation from Bowdoin College.
    They had  three children:
    Edith Fances Mansfield
    (1918-2011), married
    Gordon Oswald Merkel
    (1910-1990)
    They had five  children.
    Ann Jeanette Mansfield
    (1921-1965), never married, no children
    Hope Elizabeth Mansfield
    (1923-2011), married
    George H. Jahn
    (1920-2003). Settled in Ludlow,  MA.
    They had one daughter.
    Dr. Mansfield married a second time, at age 75. In 1965 he married
    Verda Elena Duplissa
    at Milton Mills,  NH. He died three years later in Milton Mills.

    CONDITION:  Image is in very good condition, with dark spot at center of photo on his suit. As with silver  nitrate photos, it has a negative reflective appearance when viewed from a broad angle. Light soiling to mount.  Writing on reverse, in ink, "B. B. Mansfield, Spring '06"
