"Portrait, Genealogical and Biographical Record of the State of Utah," published by the National Historical Record Co. in 1902, first edition, 9" x 11" hardcover (probably rebound; brown leather on boards with no lettering or decoration on the covers or the spine), 499 pages plus index, illustrated with photos.
The book is in very good condition: Clean pages, several short tears running in from the gutter on the title page and one on the following page, title page also split at the bottom of the gutter, tight binding, firm hinges, slight shelf lean. One of the tissue guards has some extra paper in one corner (a bindery defect). Several of the guards have light edge wear or creasing. No ownership marks. Not ex-library.

How I Pack:
Most books are packed in boxes with appropriate packing material. Thin volumes and ephemera are mailed in envelopes with stiffeners. Records are mailed in industry-standard cardboard mailers. All items are packed to withstand normal abuse during transportation.
