    The book would be of special interest to researchers wanting reference information about well known Chattanooga area residents in the early 1980s.  The book is in very good condition with minor wear on the dust jacket spine.

    John E. Fourney
    was born July 1854 in St. Jean Port, Quebec, Canada
    He emigrated to the USA in 1873, and married (1)
    Bridget Leonard
    . an Irish immigrant. Bridget died sometime between  1901 and 1903, when this photo was taken. They had eight children, per the 1900 census. One died before 1900, leaving  seven to be pictured here.

    (1885-1958). At least one child:

    Condition: Very good condition. Photo has good sharpness and contrast. Corner bumps, wear and light surface soiling to  mount.
    Size: overall 10" x 12". Image is 6-1/2" x 8-1/2"
    Writing on reverse on label in fountain pen, "Frank Fourney 1903 Williamsport. Father is 50 years old". Also on reverse in  ball-point ink, "We always called him Uncle John Fornier, brother of Louis Fornier"
